The Journey

Busy busy week... I've been out and about recording specific sounds to be mixed together at a later stage.  With some patience, I managed to get the sounds I wanted without any high pitched screaming (due to the school holidays). I have taken most of my photos with the shots I had intended, hopefully they will last 3 minutes. I would say the theme is spiritual, here's a sneaky peak...

New unit, New project:

Creating a sequence of still images combined with our own sound design to tell a story of a Journey...

how exciting :) 

As a warm-up, Jane and I had one day to experiment with sound (from internet databases/imovie/garageband or recorded by ourselves) to create a soundtrack for a 2 minute clip, we decided to stick with sci-fi sounds for a theme, some bits worked whilst others needed work. We learned that the sounds were most effective when they matched the cut of the film and when they added extra meanings to the text to make a more enjoyable viewing for the audience. Overall, I feel the concept worked well and I was happy with the result. :)
